Hajji Mohammed Ali Rahmati
Hajji Mohammed Ali Rahmati was the great Hazara
master weaver of Kabul. I had the chance to speak with his son Homaion
Rahmati of Rugs & Arts of Asia in Seattle Washington.
As a boy Hajji Mohammed Ali Rahmati worked as a
ball-boy at the US Embassy tennis courts. He went on to be a successful
weaving master and designer in Kabul.
