Title A rare Kasak rug, CAUCASUS, early 20th ct.
Size 224 x 159 cm
Description
(German only) Auf einem schönen Blauton als
Grundfarbe trägt das Innenfeld eine mächtige,
weißgrundige Kartusche mit interessanten
Tierabstraktionen in den Ecken. Acht
hakenkonturierte Stufenrauten in Rot, Gelb und
Weiß, begleiten sie. Das grafisch klare Ornament
auf dem roten Grund der Hauptbordüre erinnert an
frühe kaukasische Nadelarbeiten und wird von
weißgrundigen Nebenborten begleitet. Sehr
schöner Gesamteindruck. 224 x 159 cm (0812044)
