Lot 293 Kazak 'Three medallion' rug,
South Caucasus dated 1288AH (1871-2CE),
6ft.10in. x 5ft.7in. 2.08m. x 1.70m.
Overall wear, heavy in places.
Rugs of this group are very rarely dated - see Tschebull, 'The Development of Four Kazak Designs', in Hali vol.1, no.3, pp. 257-61.
