An unusual Derbend long rug,
East Caucasus apparently dated 1919CE,
9ft.5in. x 4ft.9in. 2.87m. x 1.45m.
Note the stylised Armenian script in the white cartouches and the Turkic script elsewhere. The date, repeated four times in the centre, is entirely commensurate with the rug's appearance.
