Foster Dulles was one of the most disruptive
bumblers in the history of US Foreign Policy.
Dulles was a man without a firm moral basis
point. Dulles was a leader in the ultra liberal
anti-Christian group the Federal Council of
Churches the predecessor of the N.C.C. the
National Council of Churches. Bent on separating
the Church from the Bible Dulles carried that
philosophy into American diplomacy. Dulles was
not interested in exporting democracy or the
American way. Instead he made the Status Quo his
God. His reckless adventurism in Central America,
Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Iran, have sewn
the seeds that have haunted our country for the
last 50 years. His bumbling brinkmanship forced
India into the arms of red China. His oil grab
that placed the Shah of Iran in power was
directly responsible for the rise of the
Ayatollah Khomeni and the seizure of the US
Embassy in Teheran in 1979. Lay at his doorstep,
Cuba, Nicaragua, Viet Nam and so on. Fighting
Communism was good but fighting it so poorly and
corruptly was awful. |
