Lot 91 Bakhtiari long rug, west central Persia, Chahar Mahal valley, Bakhtiari, about 1900, 8ft.9in. x 3ft.3in. 2.67m. x 1m. Overall even wear, slight loss top end, loss and damage bottom end. An unusual and probably quite early Bakhtiari rug although the cotton foundations argue for a village rather than nomadic origin.
