golden sky, two standing figures draw attention
to a sleeping man, two others show amazement
below, Nasta'liq text above and below (very
slight damage), mounted, framed, and glazed.
Miniature 7 1/2 x 4 inch 19 x 10 cm"1
JBOC Note:
I am intrigued by this one because I am unsure of
why it is attributed to Shiraz rather than
Khorasan.
4/07 Now I get it. Notice the flowers growing
down from the rocks, That is in the Shiraz manner
not Khorasan. The headgear is more appropriate to
Shiraz as well. that turbin with flat heels
points to a provincial court and the heels
indiactes persia so Shiraz is more likely. The
bird top center is in the Shiraz style as well.
