A double page Frontispiece attributed to Shaykhzadeh, Tabriz, circa 1520 1.

This is the right half of Frontispiece attributed to Shaykhzadeh and to Tabriz in 1520. I think we have to suggest Herat in place of Tabriz since there is no evidence to support Shaykhzadeh ever having visited Tabriz.2

Tambourines and harps are frequently seen in the work of Shaykhzadeh. Please note the wide bowed back of the hark. This is almost a Shaykhzadeh signature.

Please note the Herat Carpet and the small striped sofreh.

Please note the gold border.
