"Kuyuk The Great Khan" from a copy of the Ta'rikh-i Jahan Gusha of Ata Malik ibn Muhammad Juvayni, Timurid Shiraz 1438. In this image Kuyuk is being enthroned as the Great Khan (Qan) of the Mongols. It is said that he sat upon a felt blanket upon a gold throne as he was presented with gifts from his vassels. Canby, Sheila R. Persian Painting. Page 56.
