The Marriage Of Timur's Grandsons. 1579-80

Tufenkian Carpets Area Rug Sale.
The Marriage Of Timur's Grandsons. 1579-80 "Timur Feasts At The Occasion of The Marriage Of His Grandsons. 1579-80" from a copy of the Habib al-siyar, Qazvin. 1579 - 1580.

I have seen long flatwoven soffrehs very similar to this that came out of Mosques in Mazar-i-Sharif.

Note the triangle pattern in the inner linning of the Prince's coat. It reminds me of the ermine linings we see in royal cloaks of Shiraz miniatures.
