Ein seltener Dorfteppich aus der Region Karapinar, dessen geometrisch stilisierte Motive unterschiedliche Interpretationsansätze zulassen. Die Komposition ist ein Doppelnischen-Muster, scheint jedoch durch die stark zerklüfteten Konturlinien der Giebel auch mit den sogenannten Tierfell-Teppichen zusammen zu hängen. Ein zum Verwechseln ähnliches Gegenstück ist bei Herrmann abgebildet. – Stellenweise fachkundig restauriert, jetzt in gutem Zustand.

A rare carpet from the village of Karapinar, whose stylized geometric motifs different interpretation approaches allow. The composition is a double niche pattern, it seems, however, the highly rugged contour lines of gable also with the so-called animal-skin rugs to hang together. A confusingly similar counterpart Herrmann is displayed. -- Job way expertly restored, is now in good condition.
