Das sehr schöne und kunsthistorisch bedeutende
Fragment eines frühen Karapinar besticht durch
sein komplexes Muster, das osmanische Ornamentik
mit sehr viel älteren Überlieferungen
verbindet. Am ähnlichsten ist Inventurnummer TM
R34.7.2 im Textile Museum Washington. Vermutlich
war das Stück ursprünglich doppelt so lang wie
heute. – Unten geschnitten, Endabschlüsse
fachkundig nachgeknüpft, mehrere restaurierte
Partien.

The very beautiful and artistic important
fragment of an early Karapinar distinguished by
its complex patterns, the Ottoman ornamentation
with much older traditions. The inventory is
similar number TM R34.7.2 Textile Museum in
Washington. Presumably, the piece was originally
twice as long as today. -- Lower cut,
Endabschlüsse professionally nachgeknüpft,
restored several games.
