| A very important book in its day on
Turkish tribal rugs. This is one of the
catalogues from the early days of the
Washington now International Hajji Baba.
From the start the Washington Hajjis were
one of the top rug clubs in the country
and these catalogs were important sources
of information. This is the catalog of
a show that ran from May 26 to Sept. 21,
1968.
The Karapinar
Red Ground Tulip Rug from the Textile
Museum is plate 43. Most of the
anonymous rugs were from McCoy Jones'
collection as well as some from Harold
Keshishian.
