This is very pretty decorative Hamadan rug. This rug has low pile but should hold up well for years and fit in beautifully with fine furnishings..

This is piece dates to Circa 1920. All the dyes look good. It is a handmade pile weaving from Iran.  It is handmade and in good condition.

Structure: Symmetrical knot. 6 knots per horizontal inch and 7 knots per vertical inch. 42 per square inch (651 per square decimeter)

Color: Dusty rose, royal blue, old ivory, silver, lemon, tangerine, sienna, tan.

Yarn Spin: Z.

Warp: Old ivory cotton.

Weft: 2 singles plum wool in one shot.

Pile: 2 wool singles.

Ends: Stabilized.

Selvages: 2 cord overcastting brown wool.

Further Notes: Good condition, low pile.
