This is a handmade Afghan Kelim. The dyes are
good and some appear to be natural. It dates to
the 1980s.

War Rug Size: 4 foot 7 inch by 6 foot 10
inch.
Structure: Sumac weave.
Color: Royal blue, ruby, burgundy, onyx,
peach, copper.
Yarn Spin: Z.
Warp: 2 ply tan wool.
Weft: Ground color.
Ends: 3 inch plain weave with twining and
overhand knots with 2 inch warp fringe warp
fringe.
Selvages: 2 cord interlaced black wool.
Handle: Light, pliable, durable.
