Older Room Size Tabriz CarpetSize: 6 foot 8 inch by 9 foot 9 inch. This is another wonderful decorative room size carpet from Tabriz. The color is excellent and so is the wool. The wool and color are so good that I thought it would be a great rug if you are interested in room size Tabriz carpets. A wealth of designs are made in Tabriz. Tabriz is the major city of Northwest Persia or Persian Irak as it was called in the olden times, It was at times the capitol of many Persianate nation states including under the Mongols, IL-Khanid, The Qara-Quyunlu, and the Safavid. The oldest dated carpet in the world is the Poldi Pezzoli Hunting carpet and was made in Tabriz in 1522 This handmade Persian carpet is from Tabriz.
