It is tempting to call this
a Khamseh or Qashqai and stretch old into antique
like many people do. Recently I saw one of the
discussion boards elevate a good old Shirazi
carpet into an Arab Khamseh.
This is a great older, Shiraz
area village rug. Well made, great wool, skillful
weaving. The weavers might be settled tribesmen
but these large rugs are different than the
smaller tribal pieces.
