Chahar Aymaq Prayer Rug

This is a new Baluch Type Prayer rug. The color is excellent and the rug is very well made. This is not really collectable and is really a good choice for floor use.

Much use of natural colored wool in the pile.

Structure: Symmetrical knot. 9 knots per horizontal inch and 11 knots per vertical inch. 99 per square inch (1405 per square decimeter). 45 degree warp offset

Yarn Spin: Z.

Warp: 2 ply wool light tan.

Weft: 2 ply brown cotton.

Ends: plain weave with warp fringe.

Selvages: two 2 part cord double looped with brown goat hair. .

Further Notes: New, utilitarian rather than collectable. Tan wool in rug is natural color.
