| Direct Scan This a rare brown field runner
with remarkable color. This piece strikes me as
very similar to a brown field rug attributed to
Hamadan in the Victoria and Albert Museum in
London UK. . I think this piece may be a little
better but take that with a grain of salt since
after all this is my rug. I actually think that
the one in the V&A is a Kurdish piece similar
to this.
Attribution Notes:
The rug is single wefted and that leads me
towards Hamadan and Kurds. However the borders
look wrong for Hamadan and look markedly like the
borders in very old Northwest Persian rugs and
old Karabagh. Karabagh is out because of the So I
feel Kurdish on structure and Northwest Persian
