Traditional pattern with very
good glossy wool. Traditional Prayer Rug with
great skirts. This rug is a prayer rug that is
most appropriately attributable to the Chahar
Aymaq people of Northwest Afghanistan.
I have heard some great
theories over the years but I feel very safe
attributing this to the Baluch
type Chahar Aymaq.
I suspect that the Dohktar-i-Ghazi are either
Timuri or Jamshidi who returned to Afghanistan in
1873 after migrating to Khorasan earlier but that
is just a guess based on years of study. The
simple fact is that the best we can say is that
this pattern is traditionally called
Dohktar-i-Ghazi, but whether that is a name for a
tribe, design, or clan is still unclear.

Direct scan This is a nice rug that will
give years of good floor use. It is pretty but
very simple. Only 3 colors, blue red and maroon
but it looks nice. More utilitarian than
collectable.
