Hamadan Kurd Persian Rug

Hamadan Kurd Persian Rug

3 by 5 Foot Kurdish Persian Village Rug

Very attractive thick pile rug new Persian. Nice colors, none of the neon colors used in the post embargo Hamadans are very durable because despite the low knot count these rug are made with thick heavy yarn of really good wool. If you are looking for a collectors item forget it, this is just a very substantial and pretty rug that will stand up to years and years of heavy use.

This rug is similar to a Hamadan but has a higher knot count that the Hamadan city rugs. This rug has better wool and a slightly more tribal look than the city Hamadans. This rug was woven in one of the Kurdish villages near Hamadan and uses the local wool.
