Kazak Fachralo
(?) Double Niche Prayer Rug
|
|
A double niche prayer rug from the Kazak
Fachralo or Bordjalou Kayseri area. The
T-meander main border design is rarely
encountered and has a very archaic flavor

Note: Neither of these two attributions seem li8kely
to me. This strikes me as a very odd rug. Kazak Fachralo
or Bordjalou Kayseri
Kazak
Rugs are part of the broader category of Caucasian Rugs
and Caucasian Carpets
RugNotes is an attempt to gather together information
on rugs and make it available over the Internet as a
study tool. The more data the more meaningful the results
so I continue to add rugs. In this case a reader has
contributed a rug and accompanying information. Any
additions, information, or corrections, would be
appreciated.
