The Marechal Taghan Ensi

This Ensi seems from the picture to lack the pale blue that in common in Labijar Taghans it is still obviously a Taghan.

Southeast Turkestan circa 1880 small reweave one corner, approximately 6ft. 6in. by 4ft. 6in. (1.98 by 1.37m.)

Warp: wool, Z2S, natural ivory and goat's hair

Weft: wool, Z2S, natural brown

Pile: wool, asymmetric knot, open to the left

Density: IIH, 13V

Sides: 2 cords of 4 warps wrapped with brown wool

Ends: upper: kilim folded under and sewn; lower: incomplete, now overcast with red wool

Colors: madder red, pale madder, deep blue, blue-green, ivory, natural brown
