Picture found on http://www.azerbaijanrug.com/making.html Tabrizi Hook or Knife A knife with a hooked end that Oriental rug weavers use to tie knots. This knife can increase knot tying speeds by about 25%. My brother Jim used to make his own Tabrizi knives. He would start with a Solingen steel straight razor and then slowly and carefully grind down the front of the blade to make the hook.
