Ushak Medallion Carpets
In the Classical period there was a
significant production of supervised workshop
"Court" carpets. In the large carpets
there are two distinct groups. The larger group
is the so-called "Ushak Medallion
Carpet" of which I have several examples.
The smaller group is th e Star Oushak carpets of
which I have not found an example yet.
