DESCRIPTION
Karabagh rug, Caucasus

The center olive stepped medallion on a rust animal and flowering urn-filled withing sunset spandrels all within a black border flanked by ivory guard borders. last quarter 19th century. approximately 7 ft.10 in. by 5 ft.

JBOC Note: Woolley and Wallis has attributed two of these to Village of Khanlyg, Kubatly district on the basis of a rug in a book by Kerimov.
