Lot Nr.: 138
Description: SONGHOR RUNNER
Origin: West Persia, Kermanshah Region, 2nd half 19th c.
Size: ca. 440 x 118 cm
Estimate EUR: 6,600
Notes
Rare item most probably of Kurdish origin. Why the Kurdish
weaver was so familiar with Turkmen motifs remains
unknown; once in a while such runners with Ersari or
Yomoud guls come to the market. Small reweaves,
torn at one place, sides newly wrapped, in overall good
condition.
