Lot Nr.: 56
Description: SALOR CHUVAL
Origin: Central Asia, Westturkestan, around 1800
Size: ca. 77 x 143 cm
Estimate EUR: 2,000
Notes on Condition
Classical Salor Chuval with three turreted guls; the
centres of which, worked in raspberry red silk, were
strongly corroded and have been re-knotted. Several large
restorations in the field; losses to the lower and upper
ends. Our very moderate estimate is meant to
reflect the problematic condition of this lot, not its
aesthetic quality.
