Lot 328 Abadeh rug by the Feili Lors, Fars, South\west Persia, about 1920, 6ft.10in. x 4ft.10in. 2.08m. x 1.47m. £250-300 Condition: Slight uneven wear, heaviest in centre. See Edwards,The Persian Carpet, fig. 327, the village of 'Karftar' (Kavar); Parham, Masterpieces of Fars Rugs, p.193, notes the use of the Haybatlu gol in a group of Abadeh rugs. Blue cotton wefting is also a typical Abadeh feature.
