As soon as I saw this rug I thought Type A Bordjalou Kazak. I always see the oppossing baracketing latchhook motif in the field as Alligator jaws about to bite the center medallion. A silly thing perhaps but when I see that I think Type A Bordjalou Kazak. However then I saw the brown and white border that is a key marker for a Type B Bordjalou Kazak. The border is more regular than most Type B which may be a sign of age. This is a rug to ponder. JBOC Note: This rug belongs in the Bolnisi group. For Further Reading: Thanks and best wishes, J.
