A Salor torba, Central Turkestan
mid-19th century
magenta silk, oxidized browns, foldwear, moth damage,
approximately 1 ft. 8 in. by 4 ft. 1 in. (0.51 by 1.24m.)
The use of silk in this weaving is more extensive than in other known
trappings and torbas with this turreted, kejebe, design. For related
