It Has Never Been
Better Than It Is Today
J. Barry O'Connell Jr. Pictures from
The Later Years
I am constantly amazed at how wonderful
and exciting life is. God has blessed me with a bounty of
treasures but the greatest treasures of all are my
family. My sons are my gift from God. They are good boys
and a joy to me. There is no doubt that I am living in an
age of miracles. God is making all my dreams come true.

Maxwell Taylor O'Connell (at
4 years old)
I named Max after General Maxwell
Taylor. I like the name and anyone who can get
fired as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Of
Staff by Eisenhower and then brought back into
the White House under Kennedy can't be all bad.
Max is a big help to me with RugNotes.

Michael Collins O'Connell (at 9 months) I
named Mickey after the Irish General Michael
Collins. The brits may call Collins a terrorist
but his strategy of maximizing enemy casualties
while minimizing collateral damage is
inspirational. He was another who understood that
peace without freedom is slavery.
