Marion Barry
A good and simple man who stumbled and found the strength to pick himself back up again. I am glad to have had the chance to help a little along the way.
Now that Marion Barry is no longer mayor it is disappointing to see the city slip into a morass of incompetence. I am very disappointed to see the new mayor Anthony Williams as he dithers and panders to the least intelligent of his constituents. Just look at the way he made a mess of the Howard affair. One good point of the Williams years is that it will make Marion Barry look like a genius.
