A Caucasian Verneh Horse Blanket, circa 1875. Approximately 8 ft. 8 in. by 4 ft. 9 in. (2.64 m. by 1.45 m.)

Technique: Weft wrapped brocading on taperstry-weave ground

Warp: Wool, Z3S, dark brown

Pattern Weft: Wool, Z3S

Sides: Wool, 2 cords of 2 warps each, overcast in bands of red and white

Ends: 1 in. macramé

Colors: Seal brown, Venetian red, leather red, ecru, teal blue, cerulean blue, camel
