Antiques Rugs: Lahore Carpet of the so-called Indo-Isphahan Type Sotheby's in the catalogue for the Fine Oriental and European Carpets December 11, 1991, in New York City, attributed this carpet to Isphahan in the seventeenth century. An attribution of a rug to Isphahan in the seventeenth century that also has cotton Z6S warps is one I disagree with and I suggest that this rug must be reattributed to Lahore India or to a period in time of post 1850.
