Ersari Southwest Turkistan, circa 1880. Missing selvage along one corner edge. Size: Approximately 2 ft. 9 in. by 1 ft. 9 in. (0.84 m. by 0.53m.)

Warp; Wool, Z2S, natural ivory and brown.

Weft: Wool, Z, 2 shoots, natural light brown.

Pile: Wool, asymmetrical knot open to the left.

Density: 8 - 9h and 10 - 12 v.

Sides: 1 cord of 4 warps wrapped in red wool.

Ends: Kilim.

Colors: Madder, deep indigo, blue green, rust, ivory, saffron, natural brown.
