If I lost it I would not replace it.

Of some use but not one I would go out of my way to find.

Very useful and one I would recommend strongly.

A very important or even the definitive work on the subject. It does not have to be perfect but if I give it 5 stars and you are interested in that area then you should own a copy.

Vamberey, Arminius. Arminius Vamberey His Life and Adventures. New York: Cassell and Co. Ltd., 1883.

In one respect it is an important document dealing with Vamberey's observations as he traveled from the Bosporus to Samarkand. One the other hand it contains a great deal of duplicitous crap. Vamberey was an Intelligence agent who was working for the Austro Hungarian empire to draw England further into the "Great Game". Or perhaps I just see spies everywhere, anyway it is Vamberey's lesser work.
