Yomud Ogurdjali Carpet,

West Turkestan mid nineteenth century.

Warp: wool, Z2S, ivory ash mix.

Weft: wool Z2S (loosely plied) 2 shoots dark brown.

Pile: wool symmetrical knot.

Density: 8H, 10-12V.

Sides: wool 1 cord of 5 warps, overcast in alternate bands of terracotta, and blue bands.

Ends: warp fringe

Size: Approximately 9 ft. 10 in. by 8 ft. (3 m. by 2.44m.)

Colors: dark violet brown, ivory, deep teal blue, terracotta, deep lapis, cerulean blue, ochre.
