Barry, I saw your comments on red tekkes. I have been looking at Sam Coad's 6 gul Tekke Torba on Cloudband. What do you think.

Hello Raymond,

I've met Sam Coad and he seems like an up and coming dealer with a really good eye. The torba is gorgeous. It has that great old red and the color overall is outstanding. The wool looks great as well. Sam is asking a price that while not insignificant seems in line for a piece of that caliber. By the way he is calling that a early 19th century Tekke Turkmen Torba and that sounds very fair. As far as how early? I think it is obviously well before the Czarist phase.
