It rained yesterday. Normally rain does not bother me especially because of where I work but yesterday it did. When I got home there was my new Hali magazine sitting in the rain. I was sure it would be ruined but the nice box those Hali folks ship it in protected it from the bulk of the rain. Only a minor stain on the cover.

This was no ordinary Hali but a fancier, easier to read, new improved Hali. With this Hali #109 the Marcuson era is truely over and Danny Shaffer has put his stamp on it. in the early days of Piner and Frances and Bennet Hali had a very distinct look. Then in came Alan Marcuson. New look, new style, new focus, from his days at Rolling Stome, Friends, and friendz, Marcuson made Hali a more polished upscale magazine. Not as academic as the early days but still enjoyable. Now Danny Shaffer has led Hali to a new level. It looks wonderful and I look forward to seeing it develop in the future.

One fantastic inovation was to get the Pre-ACOR special issue to the readers in the States before ACOR. This idea of getting the ads of the dealers who will be at ACOR to the attendees before they leave for the show will doubtlessly be a help to dealer and custommer alike. Bravo to you Danny Shaffer and your fine crew.
